The Italian composer Amédée Rasetti, like his contemporary Mozart, was a „God’s beloved“ who did not live to reach his fortieth birthday. His three Trios op. 13 for piano, flute, and bassoon presented on this CD by the Trio Amédée are rarities combining delight in experimentation, galant style, and early romantic effects guaranteed to amaze.

…Amédée Rasetti is a completely new name to me, but his music did turn out to be a very pleasant surprise.

…exquisite music recorded in exemplary sound and presented in a highly artistic manner. Annotations are detailed and scholarly, while the interpretations of the young Trio Amédée (formed in 2000) although brisk and elegant, pay great attention to all the hidden details of these little gems.
